  Congratulations to Juliette O’Connell, PhD student in the School of Pharmacy, who received the Award for Best Oral Communication on 11th October at the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy Symposium in Heidelberg, Germany.

• Discovery of rogue messengers that hinder body’s immune response to cancer

  Researchers, led by Professor Lorraine O’Driscoll have found that cell to cell messengers released by cancer cells which are not responding to treatment, can negatively affect the body’s immune system response against the cancer.
